I’ll be coming to the Hurricane Shoals civil war reenactment as a sutler this year! I’ll be set up on Sutler Row making tintypes on Saturday and Sunday. Tell your friends!
I’ll be making authentic tintypes before your eyes using the wet-plate collodion process – the same process used during the civil war. Each tintype is a one-of-a-kind original.
I’m so excited about this venue because there are several old buildings that can be used as backdrops! They’ll be perfect for large group photographs!! Get your group together to chip in. A digital scan is provided with each tintype (FREE) so you can all get a print made!
You can reserve a specific time to have your picture made at my booking page.
There is no fee to reserve! – payment is received AFTER you see your picture. But if you have to cancel, please try to let me know!
When: Saturday & Sunday, Sep 16-17
Times: The earliest I can do is after morning colors for reeenactors – until the sun fades. I pack up earlier on Sunday.
Prices: Tintype prices start at $50 for a quarter-plate. I also have 5″x7″ size for $65.
