This is an invitation only living history event for reenactors. Please contact the event coordinator through the official site to come as a reenactor. The location will be open to the public to come as spectators. This event is on the original battlefield.
I’ll be there making authentic tintypes (on metal) and ambrotypes (on glass) using the wet-plate collodion process – the same process used during the civil war. Each image is a one-of-a-kind original.
You can reserve a specific time to have your picture made here on my booking page.
There is no fee to reserve! – payment is received AFTER you see your picture. But if you have to cancel, please try to let me know!
Dates: Saturday and Sunday, August 25-26
Times: For spectators during the regular hours. For reenactors 9-5 (depends on the light). I pack up earlier on Sundays. Last appointment is 3:00
Prices: Tintype prices start at $60 for a quarter-plate. I also have 5″x7″ size for $75. For 1/4 plate ambrotypes (on glass plates) add $10.
Admission: ? Please check official site for admission.
